No toxic materials anywhere: the thick earthen walls are naturally fire-resistant, breathable, and quiet, keeping the apartment cool in summer and warm in winter. Rifugio is designed with active adventurers in mind. The apartment is accessed via stairs with no step-free access, so it may not be the ideal fit for guests with limited mobility or very young children.

Guest Access

Rifugio is an independent, fully self-contained apartment on the lower level of our home — not the whole house. You have your own private entrance, and zero shared spaces: your kitchen, bath, sauna, laundry, and both bedrooms are exclusively yours. We live upstairs and are available if you need anything.

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space was spacious and well-organized, with thoughtful touches throughout that made a real difference. The location was perfect - convenient to everything we wanted to do, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Check-in was seamless and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming. Any question we had was answered quickly. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the whole place had a warm, cozy feel. You can tell the owner genuinely cares about guests having a great experience. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable stay. 10/10!

Walking distance from the McCaslin-US-36 RTD bus stop, where you can take a bus to/from the Denver International Airport (~40 min), Denver Union Station (~30 min) or Downtown Boulder (~20 min).
